Why is highly rated health care important?
How you feel about your health care depends on your experiences with your doctors and their staff. The best HMOs and PPOs have doctors who are informed and up-to-date about your care, including care you received from other providers.
How can health plans make sure they provide highly rated health care?
Highly rated health plans make it easy for you to get the care you need. They also have doctors and staff that listen to you carefully, explain things clearly, and treat you with respect.
What do the stars mean?
The scores show the percentage of health plan members who highly rated their health care by giving the plan a score of 9 or 10 on a 0 to 10 scale. A higher score means more patients highly rated the health care they received.
The scores are based on information from a survey of a sample of at least 100 health plan members in 2023.
